There are several different limited editions of Assassin's Creed II. The \"Black Edition\" contains an Ezio figurine garbed in a black outfit and was released in Europe and Australia. Included also are three bonus areas and missions, an art book, a DVD with part of the game's soundtrack, one premium PS3/Xbox 360 theme, behind the scenes videos, and 2 desktop wallpapers. The \"White Edition\" contains one bonus area/mission and an Ezio figurine in his white outfit.[29] The Master Assassin's Edition is the North American limited edition, which contains an Ezio figurine, two bonus areas, an art book and a Blu-ray with music and behind the scenes videos.[30]
The score to Assassin's Creed II was composed by Jesper Kyd.[31] It was recorded at Capitol Records with a 35-piece string ensemble and 13-person choir, with featured vocals by Melissa Kaplan.[32] A soundtrack was released via download on November 16, 2009.[33] 14 tracks of the soundtrack were also released on the game disc available with the special pre-order Black edition of Assassin's Creed II.[34]
Both DLC expansions filled the previously missing memory sequences, which were originally cut from the game's development. While the Battle of Forlì included additional memories in the region of Romagna, the Bonfire of the Vanities included a new district in Florence, the \"Sprint-jump\" freerunning technique, as well as three Templar Lairs, allowing Ezio Auditore da Firenze to explore areas which were previously available only in special editions of the game.
If you ever needed proof video game sequels are often better than their predecessor (er, unlike Hollywood), consider ASSASSIN'S CREED II, Ubisoft Montreal's ambitious sequel that had more than 250 developers working on the title for three years. Unlike 2007's Assassin's Creed, where you relive the role of a skilled assassin in the Middle East during the time of the Third Crusade, this new adventure drops you in Italy during the Renaissance. You play as young noble Ezio, whose sense of adventure turns to a thirst for vengeance. Along the way you'll also meet a young Leonardo Da Vinci, a family friend, and test out his wild contraptions including a flying machine that helps Ezio take to the skies.
Anxious gamers had to wait at least two years before the follow up to the original was released. In the second release, the Middle East medieval era is at the rearview mirror. The assassin is now in Italy and in the Renaissance Era.
Other than the change in the storyline, this edition also comes with some much-awaited changes like weather changes, some new weapons to try out, naval exploration and animal hunting. All these add a spec of entertainment and excitement to the game.
There are plenty of challenges in the new edition to keep you distracted from the fact that no notable changes have been made to the game. As you would expect, the arsenal has expanded from the previous game, but unfortunately, the makers of the game boot the multiplayer functionality completely.
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is the latest Assassin's Creed game. Released in 2020, is the twelfth major instalment in the series. Principally set in the years 872-878 AD, the game recounts a fictional story during the Viking Invasion of Britain.
However, as there have been so many AC titles over the years, the setting of each one can get confusing. So, we created this list to make it crystal clear when and where every game takes place. We've now gone back to the piece to improve a few things and make it as enjoyable to read as possible.
A few years after the events of Brotherhood, Ezio sets out on his adventure in the series. This time, he's not in his home country. Instead, the protagonist travels to Constantinople in the 1500s. This means the game is set when the Ottoman Empire was running the land.
So, he spends much of the adventure fighting British Red Coats. Yet, the game isn't just a celebration of American history, as it also touches on the poor treatment of Native Americans during those years.
This week, game reviewers received the PC version of last year's console hit Assassin's Creed II. (The Windows edition will hit stores March 16.) Some writers were frustrated to find out firsthand that the Ubisoft DRM (digital rights management) protections are as draconian as advertised.
Despite being released the same year as Black Flag, AC: Unity saw a big jump up in system requirements. Still, most modern gaming PCs or laptops should be able to handle this 5-year-old game. The game recommends having at least and Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350 processor, a GTX 780 or Radeon R9 290X video card, 8GB of RAM, 50GB of storage space available.
The flurry of recent year-end financial reports has divided game publishers into two groups: those who made money despite a challenging economic environment, and those who didn't. Konami, Sega Sammy, Capcom, and Nintendo managed to post net profits for their recently finished fiscal years. Sony, Electronic Arts, Namco Bandai, Disney, and THQ did not.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot blamed the results on a lagging industry that shrank 10 percent year-over-year during a global economic downturn. While Ubisoft's sales were down even more than that, Guillemot said the numbers had stabilized in the second half of the last year and forecast a return to profitability in the current year. The launch of new technologies like Project Natal and Sony's Move controller should \"re-energize the casual games segment,\" Guillemot said, and the company is reorganizing its studio system \"to release new iterations of our major franchises on a more regular basis and guarantee high quality levels.\"
The publisher also provided some shipment updates on its recent titles. Last year's holiday blockbuster Assassin's Creed II has now sold in nearly 9 million copies to retailers, while the casual-focused Wii game Just Dance is approaching 3 million copies sold in to retailers. And while the publisher didn't give specific numbers for other titles, it did say that Red Steel 2 on the Wii met its most recent sales forecasts, and Avatar (especially the Wii edition) surpassed them.
hey parka, they actually made a full 128 pg collectors edition hardcover artbook for the first assassins creed game. its all artwork/story without the walkthroughs/game info, and is reallly good. should still be available on amazon
Delve deeper into the secret society of assassins with the sequel to the blockbuster action-adventure game. Assassin's Creed 2 is an epic story of family, vengeance and conspiracy set in the pristine, yet brutal, backdrop of a Renaissance Italy. Ezio befriends Leonardo da Vinci, takes on Florence's most powerful families and ventures throughout the canals of Venice where he learns to become a master assassin. This game retains the core gameplay experience that made the first opus a resounding success and features new experiences that will surprise and challenge players.
